Default Tim Quinn has died....

LCOL Timothy J. Quinn, USAF, Retired, passed away at his home in Troy, IL, on September 1, 2025. He was 65. The cause of death was a cardiac event.

Tim served as a navigator of Air Force KC-135 mid-air refueling aircraft. Following retirement from active duty in 2006 he served as a federal employee at the U.S. Transportation Command, capitalizing on his extensive experience in air mobility logistics.

Tim and his wife Cindy were members of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, IL. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree, Troy Council. Tim was a life-long acoustic guitar player, greatly inspired by Gordon Lightfoot, whom Tim saw in concert dozens of times.

He was preceded in death by his father, John D. Quinn.

Tim is survived by his wife Cindy, of Troy IL; his mother Dora Quinn (nee Baldocchi) of Ashburn, VA; his son Timothy Quinn and daughter Angela Quinn, both of Edwardsville IL; his sister Carol Quinn Loulis of Ashburn VA; his brother John of Springfield VA, and his brother Anthony of Dennis, MA, in addition to many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation for Tim will be held 9 am to 10 am on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, IL. A funeral mass will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, October 15, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, with Fr. Kevin Laughery officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Madison County Animal Rescue, 8501 State Route 153, Edwardsville, IL 62025 or to St. Jerome Catholic Church, 107 Wayland St., Troy, IL 62294. Online expressions of sympathy may be made at www.Richesonfh.com .
