I've been told I'm a certain fraction Swedish because on my Mother's side of the family,they've told of a distant old world ancestor from the 1700's,name of Per Tenggren.

His overall life (according to family)is sketchy. He lived in Sweden until 26,then traveled to England and worked in Sheffield.
Somewhere there he met my Grandmother's g. g. g. (hope that;'s enough greats) Aunt. I knew her name but it escapes me,especially at 2am!!

Anyhow Pony Man,whatever fraction it is,it makes me at least a little bit. Later!:cool;

I post occasionally to this board under the name Swede. THe reason for this is that my maternal Grandfather immigrated to Canada from Sweden in 1911.

I have no idea how far Ronneby, Kallinge is from Uppsala.But there have been many recent postings on the Newsgroup by David Bradford who was raised in the town they call Orillia, Ontario, Canada and is now in Upsalla. He explained all in his first posting at:- http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=e...ewsb.telia.net

hello Swede,
just a coincidence that I am browsing Gordon's website, noticed your Swedish ancestry...I am gaining a business partner who is 100% Swedish, heads the Swedish museum here in Chicago (andersonville), my name doesn't end in "son" but he is a terrific guy...

I am not Swedish but I have performed in Sweden. Well at least at the waterfront of a few cities: Gothenburg and Stockholm. I have visited that land many times. Sweden is one of the prettiest countries I have been to and I love the flag! It isn't quite as pretty as Norway(Red,white and blue you see)but that yellow and blue shines like a beacon through a fog! Go Scan land!!!!! !
