Some time ago, and I don't recall if it was on this site or some other source, I read something about Gord having an "up and coming" nephew in the music biz. (I think it was his nephew - if not, it was a relative.) It seems to me one of the songs on A Painter Passing Through had a tie to this person. I think it was "I Used To Be A Country Singer" by Steve McEown. McEwon, in fact, may have been the relative. Anybody have any further info on this topic?

ColoSue:

Yeah...amazing! Well, I've discovered that you can find virtually anything on the internet that you are looking for; if you look long enough and know where to look.

Stay tuned...I'm working up a little holiday treat for all us Gord-heads from the man himself!

Each time I try to load that page I get the "Cannot find page error". It's been doing this all day. You guys aren't having any trouble?

I've searched every conceivable online site that I can think of, in search of a cd of Even Steven's music. Does anyone out there have any idea if there is a way to purchase Gord's nephew's music? I know that they produced one or two CDs (self-produced, most likely) a few years ago.

Thanks Char: I already have tried that suggestion (2 x, in fact) and they have yet to respond to my inquiries. I guess maybe one can't find EVERYTHING on the internet after all. Though I'm not ready to quit trying yet. I'll keep you all posted on whether I have any success or not.
