Hey my friend...I m Yves Savariaud and some among you know me... I did not post for a long time because some told my action was a bit commercial...so it will be my only post.
I remember that you are at the beginning of this story (CD of french adapatations of GL) because you encouraged me to go further on...
So I just wanted to say that my CD is completely finished... I sent it to Gordon Lightfoot himself about nearly 3 month ago... no echo or answer at all... neither from Early morning Prod which gave me the permissions...
I have a promess of only 53 sales here in france...(discouraging)
I play this music every tuesday on Worldwide Independant Country Radio where I have a show and the return from people are very good...
... well everybody can understand that I feel a bit upset about a kind of indifference, not your, but about the ones who never give any chance to independants to show their stuff, and about a system completely prisonner of "Majors".
Well I m a "naïve idealist"... but I m proud to be !
I invite you on my Blog on http://sevy.musicblog.fr
Thanks for your attention.

Well Yves as you may remember I am one of the folks who downloaded your tunes. I have them on my iPod and I would be glad to buy your CD. I don't think your posts are too commercial, don't worry about that.

I encourage anyone who has not heard Yves to listen to his stuff. And then go ahead and buy some. If folks like us don't show our support who on earth will ?

People like Yves do their part to keep the legend alive and, in their own way, steer people to GL.

Keep up the good work Yves !!

Here's hoping for robust sales in 2007 !

Bill

Couldn't have said it better, Bill. I too like your voice Yves. Dont be discourage, if Mr. Lightfoot's office, didn't reply back. Im sure they get lots of CD's sent up there way. I suggest you should call EMP, and ask to speak with Barry Harvey. I did a few years ago, wanted them to hear a local singer, from down here, in Atlantic Canada. And I did get to speak with Mr. Harvey. He even returned one of my calls, and was very encouraging.

Dont give up, and keep on doing it...

Keep trying Yves-perhaps the time wasn't right and Barry was busy with the tour and had no time.
Your music is wonderful and I'm glad to hear from you again!
