Default Massey Collage'

I certainly am not a graphic artist by any means - but - I can utilize photoshop (about 10%), and move a few things here and there - add some text - and I'm spent.
Had some fun with a Gord sheet - with a photo or two grabbed from this site.

I was planning to attend Massey this year (my first time) - but plans got bumped once again.

I hope all that attend have a great time - and I'll watch for your reviews.

Best to All . . . . .

Many thanks Mr Gibson Sir for your fine graphic
I immediately thought yes! that will do very nicely as the basis of some necessary artwork for a quite respectable bootleg DVD shot from the balcony at Massey and downloaded from a torrent currently listed on http://www.hungercity.org/details.php?id=2144
(that link will probably only function if you are a signed in member of HungerCity and at the moment the torrent hss no seeds anyway so you cannot get it). details from that info page:-

Why thank you Sir John......

I wish I could comprehend the tech references in your text, but I do admit to limited computer savvy.

That said, I do have a higher resolution file of my little "cut 'n paste" - should you or anyone have a use for one. Not too sure If I can upload it here - but it is available.

I have a feeling that we have met on a few occasions over the years at West Coast shows.
Napa...San Francisco...Saratoga...Reno...Tahoe...Santa Rosa...Concord...Clear Lake...
1977 - present.
Ring any bells?

Again, thank you for your nice comments!

I LOVE the collage! You are very modest, it's a beautiful piece of artwork and that makes you a graphic artist.

Again, I appreciate your very cool comments.
Without trying to be overly humble - all I meant by saying that I am not really a graphic artist is that I really do not know a thing about vector graphics - nothing !
Illustrator and photoshop have some very cool novice features that can be used for these types of things.
Honestly? I cannot draw a circle in illustrator!
I suppose if we all play around enough in a program we can make our own discoveries.
Thanks to Adobe for the "PLACE" feature in photoshop.
It makes so many things possible !!
But, in response to MOOSE - you are correct.
Just like hearing a good song, or a well produced record - our impression is what matters - not always the skill level....so for that - thank you.

The only "tech references" I made were to "torrents" (or more correctly Bit Torrents)
If you search corfid there have been several attempts by myself and others to explain the mysteries of this sophisticated and affective file sharing "Protocol" Err Umm System:-
To understand how torrents work though you need to read the Wiki at:-
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BitTorrent
But the very best explanation of how it all works that I have seen is a clearly written analogy on:-
Brian's BitTorrent FAQ and Guide
the relevant paragraph is headed
What is Bit Torrent? and is on:-
http://go.webassistant.com/wa/upload/users/u1000190/webpage_20096.html
You may have to scroll down to the "What is Bit Torrent?"
paragraph (I found just now that the links under the Table Of Contents heading do not function)

NOT really We have only made one trip to see Gord in California so far that was in April 2005 when we took in the three SOCAL shows at EL Cajon (San Diego) then Cerritos then Agoura Hills before driving up the wonderful coastal highway to San Francisco from where we flew to Las Vegas for three more GL concerts
That was 6 of the 17 GL concerts we attended in Gord's comeback year of 2005 (or half of his total of 34 concerts that year)
I have compiled a detailed listing of the 88 times I will have seen Gordon since my May 1967 initiation in Muntreal to the end of this coming November's Massey season.
It is at:-
http://johnfowles.org.uk/LIGHTFOOT/my_86_concerts.htm

Again, thank you for your nice comments!
You're welcome!

Sir John -

I must have been Cerritos - 05'.
I failed to mention the L.A. Shows I've attended.

I guess my attendance numbers are up there as well....possibly 2 shows per year (average) over 35 years.

Like so many others here - I truly miss the guys that have passed on - and I welcome and accept the new guys filling tough shoes.
