I never knew this, but there is a town named "Harmony", in Nova-Scotia. Does anyone know of a place, or a thing, somewhere, that would have a name in common, with Lightfoot's music?

There's also a Harmony in Wisconsin and North Carolina, plus assorted Harmony or New Harmony Townships in a number of states.

Then there's Big Blue Precinct (Nebraska), assorted Crossroads (but no plain Crossroads), an Annabella Utah (close), 3 SAN Miguels, ORlinda (not Oh Linda) Tennessee, Allison Iowa, Peaceful Valley (not Waters) Township in North Dakota, Rainbow City but not Biscuit City, Sundown (Texas and Missouri), Pony Gulch (but no Pony Man) North Dakota, Triangle in Virginia and in New York, Whisper (Walk) Florida, and finally, Wild Rice, Cherry, Rose and Peach but no Strawberries. I only used a US gazetteer at http://www.census.gov/cgi-bin/gazetteer - a Canadian one may result in additional place names.

In the Song, Ecstasy Made Easy, it refers to.

"At midnight sailing out of Perth
Getting under way we turned 'er westward bound
On that southern sea"

There are many Perths in the World, but I think this refers to the Capital of Western Australia, because of the mention of sailing west, which would take you to South Africa, and the Southern Sea, which is where you end up if you want to sail around the world as quickly as possible, but you certainly wouldn't sail west against the trade winds.

Keep Smiling Ron.
