That's not for me to say. But considering the chaos you caused in the "Jim Croce/Maury Muehleisen - 35 years" thread.........don't get your hopes up.

Hi Geo Steve

Sorry, you are wrong about the tattoo thing...lol.
I am from the mid-west and nice girls don't get a tattoo.

Just teasing. Really, I sometimes think I would like to get one but I never have.
Mostly because I can't get past the biased opinion that women my age shouldn't have a tattoo.
Well, that and the fact that it hurts and I am not into painful experiences.

That is a very interesting and neat story about your parents. I think we all have our prejudice for certain things in life...piercings or tattoos...funny haircuts or purple streaks mixed with orange hair color.

It's all the same thing. Fear of the non familiar and judgments about people based on superficial trappings rather than what's inside the head and heart.

If I ever did get a tattoo, I would like one of a dove with it's wings open and in flight.
No olive branch because I would want my dove to symbolize freedom rather than peace.

Hope all is well with you and that you are feeling okay. Be well

I'm a woman of 'age' and I just got one a few months ago, I'm a nice girl AND it didn't hurt..! I LOVE it and am glad I got it.

Might just get another for my birthday again next July!!

p.s. - everyone who has seen it likes it and even my mother did!!..well - she was just glad it wasn't an image of Lightfoot..
lol

I know you're a 'nice girl' Char...lol.
I am glad that you love your tattoo and that it didn't hurt. I always imagine the worst when it comes to needles.
That's funny about your mom. A Gordon tattoo would be amazing!
I bet she would grow to love it.

well I've been waiting for her to love his music for 30+ years and that ain't happened so I'm pretty sure a Gord tattoo won't thrill her..
lol

altho she does like Harmony and Inspiration Lady when she hears them ont he radio in her car on her way here..

she says " I heard that song I like on the way here "..and I know what she means..
lol

I thought a tattoo application was like needles too - but it's not.. the sharp little teeth of a puppy nipping at you hurts more..that's my experience at least..

Dan (my tattoo partner) may think otherwise.. (he's a man.. )
lol

I have compiled a brief history of the Newsgroup in which I linked to a couple of postings on that once important message board

That history page is at

(i have just revised it so that it does however now, after some more determined searching, include links to both Florian's '"Obsession" posting ánd his announcement of Corfid both made back in September 1999
I refound this old thread whilst looking for something else and after rereading it realised that the contents might interest some of the noobs around here. I also reread my own web page detailing a bit of the history of the nowadays virtually defunct Newsgroup at alt.music.lightfoot

(amazingly there were two postings in 2013 to a topic started by "silver heels" (a.k.a. Bruna Zanelli ) way way back in 2002!!)
