Default To The Tune of Thunder

Figured it was about time I crawled out from my proverbial rock and shock you all with a post

Haven't really been around the computer much, running your own biz takes care of that plus I have been outside more than in unless the weather has been truly crappy.

Anyhoo took my niece with me to the airshow that was held here in Brantford this week, she's 10 yrs old and had never seen a F-18 up close and personal or heard the ear splitting thunder as it roars by.

It was funny she kept saying the normal planes were loud, I said no they aren't and she looked at me with a puzzled look, well no sooner I said that, the F-18 came out of nowhere screaming overhead not even 500ft above our heads and she just freaked lol lol.

Here are some pics:

What's goin' on, Gord H? I haven't been on here too much myself.

I ain't been to an airshow since I don't know how long (last time was at the Sun N' Fun flyin in Lakeland, Florida, I believe in 2002). Yes, if she thinks regular airplanes are loud (don't know if 'regular' means piston-single, commercial airline jets, or what), she had another thing coming when an F-18 or another fighter jet comes flying over low, and at full throttle.

It's amazing how fast they are, they don't look all that big in the sky due to the speed, but on the ground, their almost at least half as big as a commercial jetliner.

Last airshow that I went to was so long ago, that it had to be way before 9/11.
