Default Travis Edmonson [Bud & Travis]

Folks,

Travis has been extremely ill a number of years now.

Last night he was not expected to survive till daybreak

He did - and rallied a bit

The rally won't last long, we know - but Bud & Travis will

Rosemarie and Travis family are with him in Arizona.

Never easy . . . this one is hard - very hard

Char - Perhaps you would let Gord know

Thanks - Prayers arising . . .

Rez

Sorry to hear this. I remember him not only from "Scotch and Soda", but he was also the emcee at an open mike I performed at back in the day. He was very gracious and encouraging.

This is The Los Angeles Times Obituary on Travis

http://www.latimes.com/news/obituari...,6106526.story

Likely, many of us aren't aware of the seminal influence of
Bud & Travis, but I wager Gord certainly is . . .

Fundamental artists, especially introducing Spanish language
folk music to a wide English speaking population . . .
the beautiful kind - the ballads akin in flavor to *Miguel*

The Bud & Travis ballads rang out in the late 50s . . .

Blessings,

Rex
