Re: Orillia Museum acquires more artifacts
After watching and participating in both auctions, I'm keenly interested to see which items end up in the museum. I've seen some pics and videos, sent from friends, of the items that were on display there last fall - after the 11/24 auction but before the 11/25 one. I've heard about the "benefactor" who gave big bucks for items to be purchased in the first auction, and donated them to the museum. How awesome is that! So I can't wait to see which items from the last auction end up there. I'm still wildly curious about who paid $380,000 CA for Gord's D-18......and whether or not it will end up on display. Part of me hopes it ended up in the hands of someone who really loved Gord, and will play his tunes on it, but part of me hopes it ends up in the museum, next to the B45. It's kinda fitting for it to live in Orillia, and be preserved forever close to him. If that's the case, I'm hoping someone I know will get up there sometime and snap a pic of it for me!
Happy New Year, everyone!
