Default Gord Trip - Canada 2009

Just bought tickets for Thunder Bay (April 17) and Sault St. Marie (April 18). Looks like my wife and I get to drive around Lake Superior in April. I haven't been in Canada since those wonderful three concerts in Massey Hall in May 2001.

I don't think Debbie will complain as I think there's a good chance we'll get to hear her favorite, "Trilogy", at least one of those two nights.

We'll also plan to see Gord here in Minneapolis on March 22.

Sounds great! I'll likely catch up with you in Sault St. Marie.

What fun! Already making plans and buying tickets to the next year's shows. Can't be much better than that. I am thinking on Minnesota in March. I still have friends and family there, so I am considering it. I will have to keep check on when the tickets go on sale. Have a great time. Vickie, how far is Sault St. Marie from you? I would love to go there again, but too far for me. I used to live in Finland, MN and I thought it too far from there. lazy driver.
Anyway lots for you to look forward too, hope you all have a great time.

Thunder Bay is about 300 miles north of where we live in the Twin Cities. We've always wanted to see Gord there but it never fit into our schedules. This time, we are making it fit.

I looked on the map and if I converted from kilometers correctly, Thunder Bay and Sault St. Marie are about 370 miles apart. (Someone please correct me if that is far off.) A long drive but certainly do-able during the day if one leaves early enough. We have been on the Canadian National Highway between Thunder Bay and Sault St Marie and the scenery is just outstanding.

We saw Gord two straight nights in September 1998 in Sault St. Marie but that was in a casino in Sault, St. Marie, Michigan, not Ontario.

I noticed that in early November, Bob Dylan played the Essar Centre in Sault St. Marie, ON. Looks like a hockey arena - hope the acoustics are good.

it's a wondrous drive along the lakehead from the Soo to Thunder Bay..long but gorgeous..

Dylan was here in Durham Region - 15 min. from my place at the hockey arena there. Never even made the papers with a review..lol
these ones were online at some site: http://www.boblinks.com/111208r.html
Apparently he was awesome..

Hey Deb.....The Soo is only a couple of hours' drive for me! Quite a luxury, considering how far I usually have to drive for these concerts.

We just moved from the Yukon to Vancouver Island, I have tickets for the Nanaimo concert, can't wait. Now it is just an hour's drive to see Gord instead of a 2 hour plane ride. Anyone else going to the April 8th show?

I would love to see gordon in the soo in april.Have my tickets to see gordon in march at the temple theater in saginaw,mi. Ohh by the way thank you val for the presale code for that concert. I am sitting right in the third row center stage on the end and my parents are sitting directly behind my boyfriend and i for the concert. This will be their very first time getting to see him perform in concert. They were the ones that got me hooked on his music from the very beginning.
