Yuri:
What great photos! I'm so jealous! You actually got to meet the Gordster!I don't think I'll ever even be able to get to one of his concerts(I live in a small town-50 miles or so from Buffalo,ny. Gordy doesn't play out this way too often.Even if he were to come this way,I probably wouldn't be able to go.I don't drive, and my BF can't handle city driving).I'm so happy for you and I'm glad you had such a fantastic time!

Hey patybear,
Did I understand you to say that you've never been to a Lightfoot concert? Then you really, really should if at all possible! It is an unforgetable, downright magical experience, and you won't regret going regardless of what it takes to get there! Trust me on this! If you let it pass you by you'll never know what you missed, but some of us will. Sometimes its a matter of looking for solutions rather than, pardon me for saying this, excuses. Just think about it patybear. Don't be too quick to dismiss the idea. Like I said, just think about it from a "can do" perspective. I'm also certain that your BF will be glad he went, too!

I hope I don't sound pushy, harsh or condescending in any way, I only wish to encourage those who are "on the fence" (not BILLW's fence by the way, i couldn't resist that one)

Yuri - I'm so happy for you, to be up and about, go to the concert, meet Gord and talk ! I've always wanted to just talk to the man; having his autograph on my canoe paddle is very special to me, but I envy you the talk time ! Great pictures, too , Charlene !

Hi Yuri

We haven't met in person...but surely we have met in spirit ... when I was making this Massey Memory 2006 I instinctively paused longer on Char's pictures of your meeting and signing with Gord...you'll see.

Hope you enjoy this...there are more Massey Memories 2006 videos at my Corfid thread and more to come.

Sincerely

Tom Salter

I have the digital image of those photos. If anyone wishes to have a copy, private message me with your personal e-mail address and I'll send them to you as an attachement. (Promise not to sell your e-mail addresses to any sleezy types either unless specifically requested to do so!)

Photos - $25 each
Photos with my autograph - $30 each
Photos with my image cropped out (free of charge)
(U.S. funds only, as I want it to amount to something!)

Just Kidding, free to anyone who would like them.

Yuri

Hi Yuri,

I miss you and I don't even know you. I read posts for 4-5 months before I joined this wonderful group so I know "of" you.

I hope you are well and just too busy to check in. The pics of you and Gordon are wonderful.

OK now I'm beginning to get genuinely concerned. Yuri hasn't posted since Dec. 28th. Seems very strange indeed. It's no secret he's had some pretty serious health problems the past year or two. I would feel terrible if he were in the hospital somewhere and nobody from the forum knew it so we could at least send him a card. Anyone know anything?

Oh thank goodness. He needs to get back here and entertain us with his humor and enlighten us with his knowledge. I may have to check out the Toronto pages on-line!
