MistyMoppens,
I am presuming that part of the plan behind your set list is to have a Ferrari ready for the band and yourself to jump into connecting with a Lear jet to escape in immediately at the conclusion of "Ghosts of Cape Horn".

'Cos when the audience realise that "The Wreck.." is a non starter and even worse if it got out that you organised the set list I would suggest you may need to jump on a connecting plane ,organise a plastic surgeon to alter your features , and hide out over here in a quiet part of Sydney until the heat died down ....

(Yes I know the thread is about your favourites not anyone elses -just ribbing you...) lol

MistyMoppens, Gord and the band are safely away after meticulous planning as she realises her fantasy and they play her ideal set list.

Mist Moppens,no "Wreck" on your list??!

That's like making a set list for KISS and saying,"Nah...let's just skip "Rock and Roll All Night"!! :D The fans wont notice.

27. Whisper My Name

Why yes, Steve! That was my plan, exactly! (*winky*wink*) Of course, you're invited! But first you must submit your own fantasy set list... So come on ~ let's see it! (please)

No, guys.... no WOTEF for me. It sends me seriously crashing and it's absolutely overwhelming in concert. Can't handle it! It just hurts too much.

someday ~ will you be reporting back to us about the set lists at the Florida shows? I'm so happy for you! Have fun!

Oh, you Brooding Beast!! LoL!!

Nice set-list, Steve! Unlike mine, it's one most fans would very much appreciate.

BTW - oh what fun to peel away the many layers of the mysterious man from Sydney! ~giggle~

FYI you cruel trap setter, I only have one layer. I believe the word most commonly used to describe my veneer is "fat"...

ok... i'll admit it... i was deliberately trying to set a trap... LOL!!

But you're much too hard on yourself, my good man!
Let's call it "Husky". (and "husky" is excellent, BTW! Very manly!)

I wish Gordon would put on a few pounds. His voice was so much better when he was heavier. Love his voice on "Shadows"... (and he also looked much better)

In A Gadda Da Vida? Great song, it really was In the Garden of Eden though. But nobody could understand it.

Thank you! I think there was actually one concert we attended when he DIDN'T sing If You Could Read My Mind. It was still a great concert. I imagine concert goers who are only familiar with that one & a handful of other songs were disappointed, but not us! He has so many wonderful songs in his repertoire that he obviously can't perform every one in each concert!

I know lightfoot wrote it but Glen Campbell's cover of the "Last Time" is streets ahead of Gord's.

And that's from a massive fan of all he's done.

I had never heard GC’s version and it’s superb.
The emotion and deep meanings of the song is beautifully portrayed.

It has always been one of my all-time favourites.
I’ll be honest and tell you I had a tear or two whilst listening to Glen singing...

I have just listened to the whole GC album on Spotify.
He also makes a good job of ‘If you could read my mind.’

I only knew Glen Campbell by the really popular songs.
