i've taken to the listening to actual tracks to rip lyrics when one has a hunch as to the song reference...ok. this is not the same as going my pure memory but as rm can attest to, it's not cheating

gotta love this tune and it's feel...it's similar to putting a message in a bottle and hoping the tide will deliver it to a loved one...or sending a note along with a pigeon and hoping your love received it, and free of poop hopefully...yeah, imo, the tune is right up there with 'always on the bright side' on the obsurity gauge

In short, JJ, you are correct with a little help in decipherin' some minor requuisite parts... and your Q on dots versus prose/poetry - the dots in the song as I showed in the clue are correct - only in so far as are held datum for the game is... 'Wayne's World' Lightfoot! - the lyrics per Wayne Francis are:

Like the dreams of love that we shared so long ago - and to answer the specific dot question, for interest's sake - I did long ago define the dots as pertinent to clue word(s) positioning in terms of whole lines of verse, as opposed to what so often ( I agree) appear as two 'sentences' - in one line of verse, which , in this case, the 'verse' line, does in deed end with the appropriate clue words in correct correspondence with the 4 dots as illustrated in the opening clue...in any event - you GOT IT !

NOTE: In response to jj's comment - how he is listening to his old UA period more to stoke, I'd add that, since he seemed unsure, listening to music is absolutely defined in this game as a totally good way to get answers, 'no doubt about it'. Its readin lyrics that is steppin over the informal 'rules' of how we've chosen to have fun in here, thats all. Listen away ! That's how I get clue's ! I notice we havn't had a response in......well it has been only 2 days..oops..lol... thank you Jesse Joe, and Joveski you to as well...... and jj on the 9th.... Hi guys...I forgot to mention - if u didn't see the answer to jj's question (or jj if u did not c it in the pkanes trains etc thread in the middle of one of my longer blabberty posts...the answer to your q) - jj asked roughly how many songs were left to go in lyrics ? I had posted an answer in one of his threads -= and then thought this moring all players might like to know.....

We've had a lot of duplication on songs until I caught that fact around Q100 ! so we definately have not had as many songs as clue....my check on the tabular database puts it at 169 songs successfuly answered, or revealed. This would leave, per Sir John Bt. estimate given to Stone wall studios of 300+/- a few by best estimate of available info of recorded songs only . would leave aprox 131 songs to go. So if yer still havin fun, I'm ready to run 'er...

If you check in and see this post, please drop me a line in here, whoever you are, regular player or not, and could you let me know if you'd like to see the game remain in operation or not. Seems to be kinda down to Joveski, jj, Ron, Jeesse Joe, Char here and there, and then occassionally good to see formerlylavender playing,
Oh,Linda since she's back so far havn't seen her, and a few names that are offf and on semiregulars - I'm forgetting. - Sundreme, SheryKat maybe....anyway we seem to run mostly on around a half dozen regulars. - and a good lot at that to work with

......2 days is no gauge, but interest does seem down...hard to say....I'm hapy to wait and see posted opinions as to crank 'er up again - Ron I now you been working on your fastball in the UA period..., jj has been getting more sleep since Q154 was put to sleep lol...and 7 remaning Q's await in the present list. So, should we keep her up and runnin, or put her to sleep humanely.....or send her to a zoo street circus in Indonesia to ride a mini bicycle or something...lol..... 'ts up to you guys...

Char I stand corrected on something, Earlier yesterday in the SFAWN York Women's Choir cover vodeo, where Tim was asking for help on thumbs up, Ron repklied to my comment he'd asked a brilliant question...... which it is..
andhe says that oughta be good for SOME KIND OF PRIZE !! - -sigh-., and you camr thru with a cheerer upper for him !.

Then me, kidding around, sayng - heck I poured and researched my head out on my thread, and how I NEVER get kind word from you or atta' boys...then sure enough I see in here 'Good clues Steveo' !! (humbled and corrected,happier someone was nice to me and said something to one of my posts that was not an ascerbic zinger..lol... so now, embarrassed, I am sitting in a corner, in a stone house..no one is home..but I hear stirrin....rocking back and forth, hummin single note endlessly, one of the miner 7's from Beautiful, lol... huh n nnnn nuh n uh nuh nnnnn (Lightfoot scat) - I invented it a mont hor so ago....primarily for when you are singing to the radio and you can't remember the lyrics and you have a friend that does with you and you gotta cover....when both of you would reallt prefer to hear Girdon than each of our near-dead donkey's (heyyy - that 'd make a great new band name anymore - 'The Near-Dead Donkey's' - makes as much sense as smashin pumpkins, or all-of-a-sudden the joke of the industry - 'The Red-Hot Chili-Peppers' - who were kinda catchy, and that one woman's hips made you forget how bad they are anyway....lol.....its liek all of a sudden everyone is usoing them as a something to beat with a sticjk in the media.....

Hi geo Steve....I'm still here and interested in playing. Just came down with over a week-long bug that wiped me out completely. Feeling better and catching up on the many threads/posts I've missed, but started here and saw the new clues.

The current batch of clues seem a step-up in difficulty for me, although I could easily attribute that to my present state of just beginning to feel better. But I must say your last little hint there (I just gotta be me) triggered the song I believe to be correct, another song of unrequited love, as follows:
