Gee there have been so many swell topics lately,
I thought I would continue along with another deep one:
I would vote no. 1 (quaker Oatmeal) since the guy on the cylinder cover looks a lot like Rick Haynes.

One vote only we need to stretch this out for a while)
Bill

I would have to agree Bill, Rick does look like the Quaker Oats guy. Especially in the Blackberry Wine video, Barry could play a mean drum on the empty container too. Now speaking of the Blackberry Wine video I think Gord resembles Captain Crunch there at the end.
But, all in all I think Rice Krispies come to mind most, only though if you go back to the time that Pee Wee, Gord and Terry were playing.
JMHO, please no flaming.
Wonderful topic Bill thanks for posting!!!!

Yeah, I'm bored too...

Can't think of any cereal 'cause I don't see any "flakes" in Gord's band.

How 'bout "If Gord was a tree, what kind of tree would he be?"

I've got 'Naughty Pine"

Amyone more bored (and warped) than I am?

I"m going to have to go with Special K. Only because Gord once announced in concert that he was going to get "ethereal". To which I said to Darin, "Thpecial K?"
Still think of that every time I hear the word ethereal.
Jenney
PS. If I were Rick I'd be insulted about the Quick 1 minute title!

I think maybe Grape Nuts, only because the old TV commercials with Yule Brenner remind me of some of the places Gord has written songs about.

My apology to anyone I offended with the "trees" im my post.

My intention was not to flame, ridicule or insult anyone but rather to parallel the lightheartedness of the original post.

As the majority of people in this group are adults I thought it would be taken in the spirit it was intended. Those younger have seen worse or wouldn't understand.

I find much more objectionable material on prime time TV than trees, however they may appear in a photograph.

Once again, sorry for your discomfort and feel free to remove.

Is there a post missing where someone objected to your tree picture? I thought nothing obscene or tasteless about it.

Well that one tree is in a rather promiscuous (sp?) position.

Well, in order to see the "Tree too weak to stand," in a "Green Dark Forest too silent to be real," you've got to go "16 miles to seven Lakes way up among the pines," to carve on a tree, "John loves Mary, does anyone love me?" before you come "Home from the forest."
Then you can enjoy a "Second cup of Coffee" on "Susan's floor" after your bowl of cereal.Ha!

Man, I'm not carving THAT tree! Yuri - I loved the picture. No need from here to retract.

great idea, Bill...i have one existing cereal and a new one to add

when i listened to Barry on the Fan590 sports interview I was thinking he so active at his age that he should be on a box of Wheaties...if they can put old Flutie on there, why not Keane?

hey, cool job, Sharron...perfect

if i can re-use a brand from one of our prior line of pharmaceutical remedies (remember those? heh heh), how about instead of William Shatner doing fiber cereal commercials, have Gord pushing a reliable, high fiber cereal called "Morning Glory"?

to add even more flare, maybe instead of honey, give it a bit of Love & Maple Syrup flavour

yup, EMP should take your cereal brainstorm and that old GL chocolate bar idea, combine 'em to create the GL cereal bar...it's just what this high paced society needs...everyone playing GL tunes in their cars or IPods during AM rushhour as they munch away on their Morning Glory cereal bars...i can hear the jingle and see the wrapper right now...it can't miss...will we receive royalties, Bill? heh heh

As far as cereal, I'll go with Cream of Wheat for similar reasons as timetravelers oatmeal, but Cream of Wheat is a little smoother. Oatmeal can get kind of lumpy sometimes.

Yuri your Naughty Pines are hilarious; at first I didn't see anything unusual but after a moment of looking, suddenly... "oh my!!!!!"

Offensive? Not even close!

I know which one you're talking about now. I thought it was pretty funny myself, but at the same time I can see how other people wouldn't.
