I told you in the Test Forum that I literally fell asleep right after posting the pics, so I didn't have time to fix them. And I was so tired, I actually thought I *was* posting them in the Test Forum!!

your first picture

seems to be a thumnail version
from properties
http://sc.groups.msn.com/tn/70/B1/corfiddisplay/4/c.jpg
note the tn in the URL
putting that addy in the address bar only gets the thumbnail version and
when I clicked on the thumb it only revealed the very same small pic
that I fail to understand so I can only suggest that you send it to me and let me try
Or go to the group delete the pic that is there now and try re-uploading it to see if then you can get it to show the full sized pic.Just be sure to check the little delete box alongside the pic's thumbnail before hitting the delete button
the other pic
kids at la county fair
opens on clicking correctly as the full sized version at:-

Now regarding the third pic in your earlier effort no way could I prevent the extranious
space betwen b and day from getting there and which seems to be preventing the picture being displayed even though as a URL it opened the pic on my browser. All most mysterious. But I decided there are not enough hours in the day to find out why it is misbehaving so I have simply copied the pic and renamed it and uploaded it again
it was too nice a pic not to see it full sized IMHO

whilst using the MSN sevice I had to let the MSN Photo Upload Control install itself then I had a look at what that service offers. In efect it is a complete photo manipulation tool where before you upload a picture you could rotate a vertical jpeg
(are you listening Char??)
alter the contrast and brightness (are you listening Laurel??)
and also resize it. Most useful because if your original is too large it will overpower the standard corfid display area forcing your
viewers to scroll left and right or up and down to see all of your masterpiece
uyou can also do some rudimenrary cropping like this:-

Again I would stress that having found the pic's address and copied it to the clipboard paste it into your browser's address box (i.e.while it is still on your clipboard) to verify that you are getting what you want (and that you have correctly copied the URL)

quite apart from the sundry additions like instant UBB code etc as pointed out elsewhere in
this topic the main display now has vastly more subtle message dividing lines
Amongst other things I personally particularly like the "last post" feature that tells you if anything is going on in the other two forums.
And as Walter "B" pointed out there is now the feature on the "directory" page
http://www.corfid.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ul...?ubb=directory
"Member Of The Moment" who is picked at random from the member's list I think florian said
at this moment this august person happens to be igortd
but earlier today I made this screenshot showing a member I thought had been banned?

and there is a useful listing of the "Top Posers"

Hmm, thanks, John, you helped me to think about where I had gone wrong. I didn't check for spaces *within* the URL... ohhhh... duh. O.K., I'll try it again later this evening, Professor Fowles. Thank you! <handing over an apple> Apple, sir?

Oh yes a joke for today.
"Urban legend" has it that Yorkshire inventor Percy Shaw was inspired in 1934 to invent the ubiquitos UK self-cleaning reflective roadway lane markers known as "cat's eyes" when looking
at his pet's face.Of course had he been looking at the other end he could have invented the pencil sharpener.
Having said that I was gratified to read in a recent motoring page in the on-line UK Daily Telegraph at:-
http://motoring.telegraph.co.uk/moto...C-mot_01032006
about a " Great British Design Quest, a nationwide vote to find the public's favourite example of design in Britain since 1900."
and to see that one contender is the catseye:-

picture from a BBC site report of this search at:-

Hey you fever that is mine
What is your game plan what is your design

Reality brings mystery
