If you don't mind byob rules, I'll supply the food and plasticware for around the pool. Concrete and glass just don't mix. And I'm like the world's designated driver, LOL. So there's no worries there. I've got towels but y'all bring yer own suits.

speaking of ginger and food and parties:

I've always been ( as an admirer and good married man only) a MaryAnn man ! vs. Ginger

Bill - I am THERE man for the pool party ! Sounds like a he** of a good time !

You know, someday: all consider this:

Preface:
In Colorado, on the way up to Aspen from Grand Junction, there is a small town called Carbondale. There, the now semi-famous chef Wolfgang Puck once owned 2 restaurants down the road from one-another. My wife and I tried to get in the Western-style steakhouse, it was too busy, and WolfGang Puck (anybody??) the owner was standing right by us in the foyey (astutely, as a proprieter, to hear the comments) and said to us "You sir would like a good steak ? and your ladyfriend ?" -meal stated by my wife, and then: "come-on down to my other restaurant called the Sopris (after 12,000 ft. Mt. Sopris) and said he would have us served there.

We followed, he personally seated us, took our order, and brought it to us. Photos of stars all over the walls. Didn't know this man, but how very nice... . Now, we know him on the grocer's shelf "Wolfgang Pucks" soup, chile, etc,. Then, my main point, chronologically:

He told us to be sure and visit the tiny town of Redstone down the road, a small victorian haven left from coal mining boom days. And, more specifically, the Redstone Castle.

OK CORFIDIANS FIRST THE POOL PARTY THEN:

sometime we all meet at the Redstone castle and actually rent the whole Castle. Believe it or not, when we last checked, it worked out to about $105/person/day, plus food and drink of course. When a group reserves the whole place, they get a staff of starched people aquiver with servility, bringing dinner to the library, wine to the billiards room, etc, or the grand dining hall. You own a castle for a few days ! Its said to be perfect for re-unions, large groups of friends (well, up to 24 I think) and 16 I recall was the minimum to reserve the whole Castle. What say we have a Gordon Lightfoot Weekend there someday and just what Bill suggested - all get to know each other and no doubt have a grand time. Works for me.
oh - and you also have access to the restaurant kitchen as well, and can bring your own baloney, as the case may be !

Whadya say everyone ? We even could have a T-shirt made up for it, with Gord's company's OK as legally required, and have a "Indian Summer"/Big Chill weekend in the turning aspens time of September some year ? And Brink - we could make THIS one - sorry we missed the last !
