And the movie with Bruce Dern's latest lead role, 2013's "Nebraska", opened in Australian cinemas on Dec26. It has been described as "a black and white road trip drama starring Bruce Dern as a tempestuous Missouri father who's convinced he's won a million-dollar magazine sweepstake and Will Forte as the son who grudgingly agrees to drive him to Nebraska to claim his winnings". It has also been described as "a wistful ode to small-town midwestern life and the quixotic dreams of stubborn, old men".

Man....I can't beleive on this upcoming June 22nd,it'll be 10 years since I
bought that movie at Best Buy. Lot of things have changed around here since.

That Best Buy moved out of the mall where I bought it,that mall itslf is 1/2 empty
and (gulp!) a Pawn Shop set up shop across the way from the mall itself.

One of the movie theatres next dor here was torn
down in 2003 & then the other in '05,leaving just one insode the mall.

Blue Ray dvds have or are taking over from regular DVD and I've had a few jobs since then.

I left that hotel next door here in '06 and they've gone through 3 name changes.

The area itself is kind of a 1/2 in 1/2 neighborhood. It's not "bad" but it'll never be the Mecca or 100% safe feeling,kind of place,it was from when the mall came here in the 70s (I wasn't in AZ yet) to the late 1990s.


,,,,but I digress. Here's to the movie and it's tenth anniversay on DVD.
