Silverheels. I live in a little village near Chichester, called Funtington. The wee pub I vist is the on the west side of Portsmouth Harbour, in Gosport called 'The Fighting Cocks'.

With regard to this forthcoming 'war' I hope it will not stop my wife and I flying to Corfu in May. We hope to spend a week on a small Greek island, Paxos. We are keeping our fingers crossed. I hope the Caffe Lena concerts go well. It sounds pretty good

Big Cheese (English translation as we arent friends with the French again!

I know Chichester but not your village.
Maybe I'll come find your little pub
sometime and you can sing Lightfoot for me.

Hopefully this war will not ruin *any* of
our travel plans. You guys have a good holiday.

Silverheels. Point taken, re. French. The sad thing is my wife and I love France, and usually go over most years. But not this year.
You would be most welcome at the pub. When you say 'sing' I take it you are using it in it's broadest sense. I think Gordon would sue me if he heard me.

It reminds me of the old gag.

Torch singer to piano player, "That tune you are playing, has haunted me from the first time I sang it"

Piano player to torch singer, "It should, you murdered it"
