This is a great poser. Christian Island, mellow, a bit dreamy but in a masculine kind of way, beautiful singable melody, contentment itself. Seven Island Suite, with its visions for a different way of approaching life, its clarion call to honor authentic life and break the cycle of banality ("you seem to think because you've got chicken-to-go you're in luck"). CI's a great, great song, but SIS is a much bigger one. SIS by a hair.

This is EASY! Christian Island is a nice ditty, but it's not even comparable to the depth and texture of Seven Island Suite, which REALLY encompasses most of Gordon's best lyrical and songrwriting strengths, in terms of the visual impression he creates, and the spirit of that impression evoked with the melody. Seven Island Suite is certainly a top 20 Gordon tune. It transports you to the shores of the great lakes, and reminds me of my visit to the "Thousand Islands" region on the St. Lawrence River. http://www.cnn.com/2006/TRAVEL/DESTI....ap/index.html
