Don't bet on it, James. He's still reading... every word we write. He'll pop back in one day.

Well at the moment he has joined a growing number of hitherto notable posters here who are AWOL
I have sent Private Messages to 3 of the 4 following but acording to the listing none of those 3 have yet been read by the recipient:-

1.Gwen Snyder Hartvile Ohio
Member #503 most recent posting of 579 March 25 2005
also Member #511 most recent posting of 14 on 29 October 2002
and Member #578 most recent posting of 10 on 27 BFebruary 2003
she might well therefore have forgotten her sign in name yet again!!!
I sent her a PM on March 5th

2.Sean Stephens ex Ramunno a.k.a, searam Marina Del Ray CA
Member #741 most recent posting of 222 on March 18 2005
I sent him a regular email and tried on -line 411 to try to find a telephone number as reported in topic:-
http://www.corfid.com/ubb/ultimatebb...062;p=1#000008
"searam" Where the devil are you??
and reported on my findings on 22 January this year and asked the rez (Rex) who lives relatively close to where Sean was living to investigate but we know Rex has been very busy with his mother of late (although not so busy as to stop him forwarding to me and/or the John dstewart "badrats" loads of jokes etc)
So Rex ????
Sean's last words here were:-
"Actually, it may be better and bigger than that! I had a meeting with my entertainment attorney last night and some HUGE things are brewing! Kepp your fingers crossed and when I am allowed to speak about it, I will certainly share with all my friends.
Sean"
I sent him a PM on January 20 2006
his old website was http://www.searam .com
I looked up in the wayback machine but the most recent archived set (from March 2005)
says simply:-
"This domain name expired on 02/04/2005 and is pending renewal or deletion."
See an earlier set from february 2001 at:-
http://searam.notlong.com/
where I read
"SEAN ROBERT RAMUNNO
is a recording artist and songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia, USA."
and found this Beatle like picture

I sent him a PM on January 20, 2006

3.Shazia still travelling??
Member #706 most recent posting of 220 on September 10, 2005
No PM sent yet

4.Al Hurst a.k.a. the Watchman
Member #396 most recent posting of 2112 (in his latest series after previous deletions) on
4 March 2006
PM sent 26 March 2006
OK we know he got remarried fairly recently but I am not the only one who would like to be reassured that he will be living happily ever after

I sincerely hope that in all these cases there are good reasons for the lack of response or postings and no doubt there are very many others who have stopped posting as their interest in GL has waned.
hard to believe but there!!
But if any of the above do read this please reply so that we know you are well
John Fowles

and the obvious lyric quote which I hope is not prescient
"You got a lot more living to do and a lot more loving too"

A correction I did send a Private message to Shazia on January 22nd 2006 It says it was "read by recipient" but I never received a reply or response anywhere
John Fowles
I guess you cannot win 'em all. but it would be nice and courteous if she reads this if she could reply here would it not??

TheWatchmen still posts regularly on his other forum. Why not this one?

Why not indeed
then how's about posting there and asking him and while you are at it say John Fowles is disappointed that he has apparently not even read his considerate Private message to you sent on March 26 let alone replying to it
for reference I said:-

"Are you OK??
you have been conspicuous by your absence on corfid for nigh on a month now. Have you seen that your corfid map is also
missing??
I have just suggested on the map topic at:-
http://www.corfid.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi
that you might know something
So if you read this perhaps you could investigate
I do hope all is well with you
Regards
John Fowles"
James quote the URL of this topic and ask him to respond PDQ or sooner if possible.
You could say also that the corfid map now seems to be OK but that we were worried that he had destroyed it
Orv give us a link to "his other forum"
so one of us can try

John, I often hear from Gwen through private e-mail. I don't think she reads this group anymore. Life is too hectic.

I think ZoneRanger needs us to ease up on our requests for covers. The man has to sleep and oh,eat sometime. As well as other human factors! :D

A very nice recording Mr Martin
is that you or is GO TO BLAZES a group???
However James who started this topic should not have used the word "cover" in his topic subject,
since presumably he was referring to the artwork adorning the paper, cardboard or plastic covering a disc
be It a 45, LP or CD
Of course I might be wrong
