At an annual Juno Awards celebration some 24/25 years ago Gordon Lightfoot was introduced by his good friend Alan Thicke. He said something like, I dont want this to sound like one of those warm dear personal friend type of introduction, that has gone on for a number of years. But I would like to say something special about our next guest. Most of us grew up, humming his music, some of us wishing we could play like him. I know him as a ?? when we play hockey together. So here he is singer, songwriter, ?? and friend, your appreciations for Mr.Gordon Lightfoot...
What did Alan Thicke called GL twice, at that Juno Awards program? Good Luck... JJ. :D

I am fairly certain it was for his daughter Meredith
from a Brit
what song recorded earlier by Sir Cliff Richard did Gord and his then singing partner cover as a single in 1962 and which film was Cliff's original in??

excellent Suzi spot on
And in my mind I was thinking it was from "Summer Holiday"
I guess Gord saw "the Young Ones" whilst in London doing his television series

You were close John, "Fine As fine Can Be," was written for his daughter, Ingrid. You had the name wrong. Ingrid's mother would have been Brita.

I can only guess at this one. I'll say 172 - an average of just over 10 songs per album.

What did Gordon tell Peter Gzowski in the interview on CBC TV. "Gzowski In Conversation." About destroying some albums in a dumster? {1} Why destroy them? {2} And why they didn't want to have folks play them where?

Do you want salt and peper for your guitar - or are you one who prefers to dip your guitars in ketchup before eating them? :D

Well Janice, I tend to beleive you as you seem to know who this, {Swede} is. But he got every Quiz right on the money. There are some Quiz, that I thought no one will get, :D since they stayed there a couple of days. But then {Swede} comes in and gets it. I was kind of hoping it would be him, as I told my sister last night it as to be Gordon Lightfoot, thinking I had actually chatted a bit with him. But OK I beleive you. I guess?
Hmm Salt or Ketchup... :D

Hope the guitar tastes good Jessi-Joe. Re your question the only part I recall from the interview is that Gord was ticked that his former record company, United Artists I suppose, had released a compilation his songs.

Yes A best Of, right in the middle of one of his new album they had just put out. So they took a sledge hammer to the best of, in the Dumster. So people would not be playing them at the dump. They then both, he and Peter Gzowski, went into a huge laugh.
If your not Lightfoot, you must be someone, that knows him pretty well. I tought JP Cormier, but you told Janice you did not own a GL signature Martin D-18.
Anyway who ever you are "All the best". Cheers, JJ.
