This is rather difficult. I will go with two weeks worth, i.e., first five in the first week and another five in the second:

Affair on 8th Avenue
Home from the Forest
If Children Had Wings
Second Cup of Coffee
Bitter Green

and for the 2nd week:

A Minor Ballad
That Same Old Obsession
Lazy Morning
Protocol
I'm Not Supposed to Care

and if there are substitutions:

Shadows
In My Fashion
A Lesson In Love
10 Degrees and Getting Colder
It's Worth Believin'

Bound for the Ghosts of Cape Horn

------------------
restless shadows

Man, just got home from work and on the way home I opened the moon/sun (how do you know which is which?) roof and turned up Shadows, what a ride. Although i think the neighbors through the hoods that I went might not have thought so, it was a bit loud...pity, cause I was just cooling my jets...

2Much2Lose, I love the seaside atmosphere you described. If I close my eyes, I can picture myself there with all the sounds, smells etc... In that vein, my 5 songs would be:
Christian Island
Ordinary Man
Race Among the Ruins
On the High Seas
Now and Then

The first song I ever heard by Gord was in the late 1960's. that one is First. To choose 5 is tough. Even 25 could be tough. Here goes:
1. Canadian Railroad Trilogy
2. Don Quiote
3. Affair on 8th Avenue
4. Song for a Winters night
5. Mother of a Miner's child

This list could change weekly.

Yes, difficult to pick 5 without revising it every few minutes.
How about this then.
If you could only have one album/cd, which would you pick?
Now that's a tough one!

1 album, huh? Not to nitpick, but who is this unseen person that's telling me I can only have 1 GL Album??!! Just who has this kind of authority? I mean really! Just,"Sundown?" Just,"Shadows?" Just A Painter Passing Through? Just a Jenny Cotton pickin' minute here! I'll have any Ole' Dan' Records I choose! Don't like it? Well that's just Knotty Pine with me! 1 album indeed!.....(Is he gone? Good. "Sit Down Young Stranger" Heh-heh-heh.) !!!!!!!!!

Gwen,
I'll get Songbook, you get Dream Street Rose, we'll get together and make our own one album, although it would be big!

GREAT! Songbook encompasses so much but, not it all... and neither does Dream Street Rose but, I love it! We can have a Gord party, all will be great.
