Paul Martin and John Turner, Kim Cattrall and Dr. Henry Morgentaler, Margaret MacMillan and Gordon Lightfoot, Justin Trudeau and Knowlton Nash, Peter C. Newman and Conrad Black, Ted Rogers and Galen Weston -- these are just some of the hundreds of prominent Canadians expected to show up Nov. 15 at the 100th birthday party for "Canada's weekly newsmagazine," Maclean's.

Annie, you think someone may make a toast to Gord's birthday along with talking about Maclean's anniversary? (???) Be the right time & place.

I would hope so but I'd guess he wouldn't want it. He'd see it as taking away from the reason for the celebration and putting the spotlight on him for a personal (not professional) reason.

it's quite an eclectic group that's attending...I doubt anyone would even know of Gord's upcoming birthday and I'm sure he'd never say or want any mention.
I'll keep watch in the papers for any articles and will anxiously await delivery of my copy of the NEW Macleans mag the week after the party!
