At one point, the fire was threatening Hamilton's historic Grant Avenue Studio, which was opened by music legend Daniel Lanois and his brother Bob back in the 1970 at 38 Grant Ave.

Mostacci said firefighters were able to push the fire back from spreading to the studio, where the likes of Gordon Lightfoot, U2, and Stan Rogers had recorded tracks.

"At one point we were a little concerned, but we were able to stop the fire," he said.

How did this recording studio end up in a residential area?

Well I'm glad it was saved.
