In honour of Char's new 'Canadian' tattoo
an old video edit effort I did for a school short, pulled from VHS archive
not too comfortable posting raw video clips 'borrowed' from another source so the link might be short lived on youtube ...it was intended to be a hang gliding dream, freedom visceral
yes, i had to cut out an audio verse (a sin!) to keep within project time contraints
ok, back to the subject: WAY TO GO , Char! ...next, a body piercing perhaps?

Re: In honour of Char's new 'Canadian' tattoo
Major cool tattoo Char..... and JJ THAT is a good video/vistory ! Especilly if I understand correctly it was while you were in school. Seemless flying ....well done.
Char - I've got to IM you on the significance of the maple leaf, I used to have a belt buckle of that Merry got me on honeymoon, kept it for years, then one day we were broken into and they stole my "special memories" stuff in a shoebox - along with my High School "Letters" - JV AND Varsity, and treasured photos. But the belt buckle - I'd give my left arm to have that back. Very adventurous of you too get TATTOO'D !

I agree - great tattoo, Char! I've got one on my ankle, and was surprisingly sober when I wandered into the tattoo shop on a whim and got it done. LOL

Looks awesome Charzo! I think you need the Blue Jays logo on the other arm!

Re: In honour of Char's new 'Canadian' tattoo
Most tattoo parlours nowadays will not tattoo on the spot and not if you've been drinking. I was told no drinking the night before and no sun on the spot for a week before.. All very sterile and clean and full of health certificates etc.
It's just a small one but I'm glad I have it now. The Blue Jays keep changing the logo and I don't like the ones they've had in the last several years. If i got one it would be from the World Series winning time period in the early 80's. I'd get a blue maple leaf first tho..it's only one colour!
I took a decal of the flag with me so the leaf would be identical to the flag..many that you see are not really the actual leaf..i had two different reds to choose from as well..
It was quite a fun experience!

lol What did you get? And hmmmm did you have a drink+ maybe after? Yeah it's nice that even many fine salons allow walk-in's, where otherwise many of us would fret over an appointment!

Re: In honour of Char's new 'Canadian' tattoo
Pam, I'll try to locate a picture of it and post it over in Small Talk. It's kind of cute...done a few years ago during what I refer to as my Nascar mid-life crisis. Apparently, even though I was a walk-in customer, the environment was sterile - my leg hasn't fallen off yet! LOL

Re: In honour of Char's new 'Canadian' tattoo
thanks steve...yeah, i really didn't know what i was doing but knew i had chosen cool music (at the end, I segue into the intro of the down-tempo version of TWIF) and of course, very Canadian visuals...i was using an Avid and didn't even know how to modify clip speed, so i was never content with the pace
sorry to hear about the theft...wish they would leave persons personal stuff alone...ie. if one must then take my tv, my dvd, my stereo, leave my old videos, audios and photos
