Suffering from insomnia, and doing the obligatory channel surfing, I ran across a 30(?) minute promo for DVDs of the old "Midnight Special" series. In a very, very, short snippet, there was "prime time" Lightfoot performing "Sundown".
That was from a 1974 MS performance, when Gord hosted the show. Guests that night included the James Gang and the Guess Who. GL, accompanied by Terry and Rick, also performed The List and High And Dry (in addition to Sundown) from their recently released #1 album. They also did a few earlier numbers, like Don Quixote, if I recall right.
Another question : Bearing in mind that I was a victim of sleep deprivation, I wonder...does the ad make it clear if the DVDs are complete shows ? If I could get my hands on the one Lightfoot hosted, it'd be worth it.
