When hurricane Frances struck Jacksonville, we decided to try and tough out the bad weather. We got some fairly strong winds and A LOT of rain, but we were okay. But we decided we weren't taking our chances with Ivan, (despite the fact that it is now heading Northwest) because dad said that Ivan is worse than Charlie and Frances put together! So we'll be evacuating either to Albany or Tifton, Georgia, because we have relatives that live there. I even heard that in Albany and Tifton they were expecting winds at 75+ mph. I hope this whole thing will blow over soon.

We may stay at the Holiday Inn or somewhere, but we do have relatives and friends in both Tifton and Albany. What about Tifton? I guess they don't have hurricane weather there much.

speaking of weather, we had a wee tornado here in washington today. It touched down in a wildlife preserve, so no houses were hit.
