"Multi award-winning singer and songwriter Gordon Lightfoot paid special
tribute to Sniderman [owner of Sam's] during a presentation and performance
Tuesday night in Ottawa at a conference of the Canadian Association of
Broadcasters, Lightfoot's manager Barry Harvey said yesterday.
"Gordon has always had a soft spot for Sam. His place was the only record
store where Gordie would do promotional spots. He's distressed by this
