I am starting a new topic as my earlier one:-
"Topic: Ebay.com GL items" at
http://www.corfid.com/ubb/ultimatebb...c;f=1;t=003666
now has so many pictures that dial ups like me are obviously having a problem waiting for them all to load.
To start it off
something partly French to interest Yves albeit the seller is in New York
http://cgi.ebay.com/THE-WHATS-NEW-45...QQcmdZViewItem

seller's description
"The What's New-Early Morning Rain b/w Huckleberry Finn. Florida garage band who recorded in France. A-side is the Gordon Lightfoot song."

John - I have the same problem with all the pictures all over this web site. Everyone except us must have high speed internet.
Can you find a way to make a site where the pictures can be posted and then post a link for it?

Yes Deb in fact at least one of the 8 code options you are given after uploading your picture to http://www.imageshack.us is the stored picture's actual internet URL, so if you were to simply copy that and paste it here then it becomes a fully operational and clickable hyperlink.
I am working on an analysis of the 8 codes and will later post a new topic on the test forum to explain them using Homer's CN Tower picture as an example.
But basically using what I think is the code that displays a clickable thumbnail is for us dial-uppers probably the best and preferred option

I have recently mentioned a peddler of unauthorised GL CDs based in the UK going by the screenname/alias "buzzfledder"
indeed on the earlier ebay item topic at:-
http://www.corfid.com/ubb/ultimatebb...c;f=1;t=003666
I said as recently as May the 2nd that:-
"The arch bootlegger in the UK,who this time around is calling himself "buzzfledder", has put up for Ebay (UK) auction the first
time that I am aware of a CD of THE FOLKFEST BENEFIT, NEW YORK, 1987
http://cgi.ebay.com/Gordon-Lightfoot-Folkfest-Benefit-NY-1987-CD_W0QQitemZ4874244834QQcategoryZ58588QQrdZ1QQcmdZ ViewItem"
and I displayed his plain CD insert artwork (no longer linkable it seems).
I had long suspected that another of his aliases was "myskies"
claiming to be from the entirely fictitious UK village of
"Royston Vasey"
and sure enough another 1987 folkfest auction this time by "myskies" has appeared at:-
http://cgi.ebay.com/Gordon-Lightfoot...QQcmdZViewItem

I just checked "seller's other items" and found he/she has just one more auction ending at virtually the same time:-
the 1974 Massey Bootleg at:-
http://cgi.ebay.com/Gordon-Lightfoot...QQcmdZViewItem

I think I know the current high bidder quite well!!
I guess buzzfledder/myskies is getting scared of being apprehended as both auctions have only just begun yet they both end today which is IMHO mighty suspicious.
even odder/ suspicious is the fact that both auctions are listed on both
http://www.ebay.com and
http://www.ebay,.co.uk.
but the starting dates for both auctions are shown as May 24 on the .com listing and May 25 on the otherwise identical .co.uk listing (however both have the similar "end times" at this moment:-
End time: 10 hours 19 mins (May-25-06 18:40:54 PDT)
I very much doubt if this person ever bothers to read corfid despite his/her obvious predeliction for GL.If I am wrong perhaps he/she could respond here as it strikes me that he/she could make even more money by cutting out the "middleman" (ebay) and offer his/her wares directly to the fans here .

"buzzfledder" is at it again.
his time with a rare offering of a CD made from the 2002 Albany NY bootleg and with artwork that I had not seen before

the auction appears on ebay.com at:-
http://cgi.ebay.com/Gordon-Lightfoot...QQcmdZViewItem
and ebay.co,uk at:-
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Gordon-Lightfo...QQcmdZViewItem
the insert artwork as shown on ebay and above is on the dark side. Therefore I have lightened it using MGI Photosuite to show the text better

John Fowles
His earlier 1987 Folkfest unauthorised CD is also still unsold and has no bids and the end time is now in just under 11 hours time:-
http://cgi.ebay.com/Gordon-Lightfoot...QQcmdZViewItem
(BTW that is the recording of the "small" Lightfoot Band/Trio of Gord Rick and Terry that features an excellent simplified "East Of Midnight" performance bereft of the additional orchestral effects that I personally prefer to the official album release.
See Wayne's description at:-
http://www.lightfoot.ca/radioapp.htm

"FOLKFEST BENEFIT - WNEW New York - Sept. 13, 1987
Recorded live at Folkworks in New York, Lightfoot headlined a benefit that also included Tom Rush and Bonnie Koloc, among others on the program. Lightfoot was backed by Terry Clements on acoustic guitar and Rick Haynes on bass. Mike and Barry had the day off. The show took place during a brief break in the yearlong East Of Midnight tour. The set went like this: Spanish Moss/Shadows; The Last Time I Saw Her; I'll Tag Along; East Of Midnight; A Lesson In Love; Morning Glory; Chrisrian Island; Don Quixote; If You Could Read My Mind; The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald. The "Wreck" was given the unplugged treatment with just Lightfoot on 12-string, Terry on 6-string acoustic and Rick "plugged-in" on bass. An outstanding performance!"
