Just got my tickets for the August 17th show! Last saw Gord here in 2000.
Hope we get to enjoy new CDs or DVDs of his performances in the future.

Bill,
It is nice to get things in the mail once in a while that You actually enjoy opening
I finally got time to try and get back on here,it's been a while. We just recently secured 4 2nd row seats for 7 Springs.Would have had front center if not for making the mistake of using the cell phone instead of the landline.(lost the signal)Oh well, still ended up with good seats.
I don't Know what the problem was,but the last time I tried to get on here, which was a while ago,I could'nt even get logged in.Tried again yesterday and all seems fine.
17th,18th,19th and 20th.Can't wait till August....

I think Brian meant that he was going to Gord concerts on the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th - not that they were necessarily at the same place.

Can I come too?! I'll be with my son who happened to take me to my first GL concert...at Wolf Trap...in 2000. He had a vague idea who this man was but he knew his mom knew for sure. Guess who is now a fan He plays 'at' the guitar and says his favorite is what he calls "The Legend of Don Quixote". He now knows a whole lot more than he did 5 years ago about what Gordon Lightfoot wrote and sings! When I mentioned that I have front row/loge tickets to the concert in August he invited himself to be my date. Even better...he got tickets for us 15 rows back in the front orchestra section. He's working on row 3! I think I raised him right!!
Before or after the show is fine with me. I think it would be fun to meet some other Lightheads.

It would be great to have you join us..but I'm not sure for what. The Wallaces are joining us for dinner at WT but perhaps a quick something between dinner and performance or post-performance. We have time to plan. Iron how about you?

We will be in row Q way to the right side.We are not sure what time we will be arriving so we'll just have to play it by ear for now.I'm sure will be able to figure something out between now and then..

We're row OO in rear orchestra. Had dinner at Wolftrap at the 2000 concert -- big BIG disappointment (the dinner, not the show). High priced fru-fru. Hot dry day -- they sold us high dollar water BEFORE bringing the complimentary water to the table.

I've dinner at the WT restaurant many times. True, it is pricey, but most times it has been fair to really good. My only real complaint about wt is that they let the audience for the Filene Center stand out in the pouring rain while they handed out soaking wet programs. That is a deal breaker as far as I'm concerned.

Elizabeth,
Spelling's correct, its short for Elizabeth Anne, anyway since this is our first time to Wolf Trap, is there only one restaurant ? I'll be in shorts & Hawaiian shirt so I hope they're down with that, LOL. Sounds like fun.

Bill and Brian and Spouses,
I am back from AK and ready for GL. About dress codes, since people sitting on the lawn will be dining at the WT restaurant (only one) I am fairly certain there is no dress code. Am still trying to get reservations. Shelia Ann, are you and you son joining us for dinner? Please let me know soonest. Thanks. Dinner between 6:15 and 6:30.

Hi Elizabeth,
They have an on-line reservation system which I just checked. The only time they have available seems to be 5:30 which may be too early for us to make. Perhaps we need to think about "Plan B" ?

Plan B,
The weather looks good,I have no idea what the parking facilaties may be,this is just a thought but ,how about a "Tailgater" of sorts.
Gloria and I will be in a burgandy Wrangler.
I will bring a mess of tomatoes and a couple loaves of bread. From the looks of the baggage She has ready to go,I don't think there will be room for the toaster....
Just a thought.

Can't wait until tomorrow night! Co-worker and I are going and of course all the youngsters are "Gordon WHO?" I'll be the one in the "famous guitars" T-shirt.
Has anyone seen the tabs or chords to Inspiration Lady? I play some of Gord's tunes and really want to try that one........ see y'all at the Trap tomorrow night!!

Thanks for the cool plan B. I think we're going to try Ovations at 5:30. The parking is on grass and gravel from what I hear. We'll be looking for you.

Alright- we're set. 5:30 at Ovations. What name is the reservation under? Wallace? I will probably be the one in a black turtle neck. Look for an elderly gentleman w/a cane sitting w/ me. See you'all tonight. Gord, here we come!
