Hello everyone, did anyone miss me?

Boy do I have a lot of reading to do to catch up with all the posts over the past few weeks!

I LOVE the photos of last night's concert, and I agree that Gord looks wonderful. The entire band looks wonderful. I love reading thoughts on how Gord's looking even better now than he did 4 months ago, and I recall having a feeling a while back that he was finally getting "over the hump" from all his health problems and really coming on strong.

I cannot wait to see him in September in Milwaukee, Minneapolis (& hopefully Rochester, MN).

Oh by the way, I bought Salute last night, and will be listening to it this afternoon at my desk at work. :D

Congrats. on getting "Salute!" CD? LP? Cassette?
Most likely CD right? Is this the last one by Gord you needed,I know in 2002 it was the 2nd to last one I found. Then Shadows was last.

Happy listeneing,especially "Gotta Get Away"!

Funny I should read your reply just as I was listening to Gotta Get Away from the Salute CD. I am slowly purchasing Gord's CD's, trying to savor each and every one along the way. I know I should snap them up when I find them, but I'm trying to pick and choose from different eras and decades of his career. My next will most likely be a very early one. Perhaps the Sunday Morning Live Concert. I have the first 4 earliest ones on my United Artists Collection. The very last one I plan on purchasing is his Songbook Collection.

Do you have them all, Borderstone? Which ones do you think are the most rare/hard-to-find?

I agree Paul,
It is such a gift for lightfoot fans that it is still out there. We are lucky to have a professional recording of a concert in his vocal prime (and with Red too)!

Yeah go ahead and get Sunday Concert next. That's one you can listen to hundreds of times and still catch something new that you missed, really. Great live show - and none of that fuzzy, crackling bootleg noise to put up with.

Try and get Sunday Concert Plus for the extra tracks. The regular one is only $7.89 , a bargain.

Hi Gitch. Sorry for the delay,I don't get here to the library as much lately.

As far as CD's go I have :
Songbook,UA Collection,IYCRMM,
Old D's Rec.,Sundown,
SummerT. Dream,Dream St. Rose,
East Of Midnight,Waiting For You,
Painter and Harmony.
(Also one of those UA Best of's on CD called "Early Morning Rain".)

On CD they're not really that hard to find but for difficulty I'd say right now it's "Shadows" and "Endless Wire".

I had a chance to get "The Way I Feel" on a self contained CD but the store wanted $20.00 for it!!
That's more than I paid for my Vinyl copy in 2002 ($17.95 + tax) I paid that much becasue I had to have one in as near perfect condition that I could find. I've since acquired a 2nd copy for $4 tha looked even better.

In vinyl LPs,I have everything. Toughest one at the time, again 2002,was "Shadows".
Had to go clear to Mesa on the bus.
Basically a 20 mile excursion but the bus I took went all the way to Mesa and to the 1 other bus I had to transfer to.

If you see Endless Wire or Shadows on CD or whatever else you don't have, snag it right away! :D
