Doug has posted the MOVIN' Promotional video for the Canadian National Railroad - thanks DOUG!
Lightfoot narrated the film and provided three songs for it (on EP) . It shouldn't come as any surprise that Lightfoot would become involved in a project of this nature, as he has always had an interest in and written about all forms of transportation - trains in particular.
The Canadian National Railway film and EP were released in 1967
Great one, thanks. Some real nostalgia in there for this aging dude. It's amazing the rush that comes my way just seeing this. It sure does have a way of bring back the reality of the day when I arrived in Toronto and discovered Yorkville and got to sit there in the Riverboat, mere feet away from all those great performers, some who turned out to be icons. Those were the days.
Man, I think I should have seen that one by now, with me working in the railroad industry, but I don't recall seeing that one. Thanks all for putting it up!
