Dear Oh Dear Oh Dear Touchy Mike Shame on you!!
Are you admitting here that you do not possess the Songbook Box Set or have you forgotten what is inside the wonderful booklet????
As I said previously in topic:- http://www.corfid.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/001419.html
"Then One Sunday May 21 1967 an excited Peter phoned David and I to tell us that he had just heard that Gordon would be
appearing at a small Coffee bar (The New Penelope) that evening after an afternoon concert at the Expo67 Worlds Fair site
(just possibly the concert depicted on page 22 of the excellent Songbook box set accompanying book)"
here is the picture for anybody who does not have ready access to the Songbook booklet:-

caption (just in case you can't read it as it is writ very small)
onstage at Expo67 (left to right) Red Shea,Lightfoot (uncle!!)John Stockfish
quote:if he did I bet he performed CRT.
He almost certainly did I heard it for the very first time at the New Penelope that evening (the 21st) having missed the 1 January television airing

I don't think Mike owns any Lightfoot recordings John. Or if he does...he prefers others to do the research and read the accompanying literature for the answers to his questions. I still stand by my original idea in his last request for Lightfoot minutia that he is writing a book. This is how Maynard Collins got alot of his material for his less than complimentary book on Gord.

lol, well, some of your questions haven't been so simple...sometimes not even sure if they are questions...but they always bring the board to life and guarantee well-researched responses

And Monsewer Toohay or is it Mac Tach??
With reference your petulant remark I must obviously apologise Mike for being too verbose for your taste and requirements.
I (possibly mistakenly) took your request at face value and as I had first hand knowledge of the most likely answer to this interesting question decided to reply at length as much for the benefit of others here as to answer your simple question.
Anyway I note that you in turn overlooked and/or omitted to address my simple question

A "a simple answer yes or no?" would have sufficed!!
You have also so far failed to respond to Jack's implied hidden question in his most recent riposte to your abstruse ramblings

Why thank you Laurel for your kind comments nice to know some people appreciate my efforts
Finally Mike I now consider that "Touché" sounds better and is more apposite than "touchy" n'est-ce-pas vrai??

Hey, it is just a common assumption that fans of Gord would have the Songbook, it is almost a Gord Bible. Some aren't going to be able to afford it but they usually have at least some of his music. There isn't anything weird or strange of what you ask. You just get demanding sometimes. Everybody helps everybody, Annie and Violet are the internet searching gurus, but we also try to find out for ourselves too. No worries.

Mike,
SONGBOOK is not an "any" it is a boxed set of CDs. Your questions sometimes are legit but if the answer doesn't please you, you often sound downright rude in your followup. If that is your intent you are doing great. If not you should mellow your replies. This is a mellow place but we don't take a lot of nonsense for too long. Perhaps you are unaware of how you often sound ? Lighten up, this is supposed to be fun.

Bill

Edited for spelling,LOL
