I've particularly always like a painter passing through. When listening to the songs, there's this sense to it that makes you feel that even though Gord is old, he's able to look back on his life and know that he's lived life to the fullest extent, and he has no regrets. Not that he's done living, mind you. ;D

Summer side of life. How could it get any better after IYCRMM. SSOL is the album that kept me hooked.

Oh,boy! & at the same time! I knew this question would return someday! :D
It's not that easy for me James, one out of all?
The best I can do is a multiple 8 way tie:
Did She Mention My Name?
Sit Down Young Stranger A.K.A. "If You Could Read My Mind".
Summer Side Of Life
Sundown
Cold On The Shoulder
Shadows
East Of Midnight (all but 2 tracks)
Harmony

Well I guess so it's better than a 20-way tie!

I'm one of those fans that owns collections. For years, I owned Gord's Gold and now I play "United Artists Collection" nearly three times a week. So, ..uh ..is that considered an album?

I'm relatively new to GL. I owned GG on tape about 20 yrs ago and lost it. I was young and restless and was more into the harder rock. I've mellowed into classical over the years but had some restless moods, like recently. I've found that GL is a perfect fit for me because of the mix he offers and the lyrics are a deep well to draw from. I've ordered all GL's original music cd's and so far I have 7 album's worth. UA,IYCRMM,SD,and SSOL. So far, I'll go with THE WAY I FEEL from the UA. A close 2nd and 3rd would be IYCRMM and SD. ...but I reserve the right to change my mind as new cd's pop in my mailbox...unless...IYCRMM? Ahem...Is there anyone out there who envies my situation? I mean...isn't it like being a kid again?

Sheryl, hi. Yes, possibly. I'm trying to convince my wife to go to Concord, NH on Aug 4. That's her birthday! I might be blowing it though. She's not a music lover like me (her hobby is breeding labradore retrievers)and Ive been playing the heck out of GL in my house lately. I may be trying to ripen her too fast. I need to be more gental. What I'll do is pick my spots and just the right GL song to thrust little arrows in her heart. She'll drop like a late September apple and we'll be on our way. Should be easy with Gordon there and it worked with Alison Krauss!

I finaly received Dream Street Rose, Shadows and Salute. I'm very impressed with the first two. There's not a song I don't like on them. They both make it on my top 5 list. I'm disappointed in Salute. I've read high reviews on this but I put it on my bottom 5. I now have all the original song cd's and only waiting for Sunday Concert cd. My overall preferences are starting to take shape!

I like Biscuit City and Salute the best from the Salute album, everything on the Shadows, and everything on Dream St. Rose - with a low mark for Auctioneer.
Sunday Concert is great too.

I like Salute pretty good, except for Knotty Pine. I don't like All I'm After on the Shadows album at all.
