Laurel and I have our tickets. We are going to the Thursday and Friday shows. Who else has their seats and when are you going?

I'll be there with Diane, Char, Susan, John, Joan, Bill, Frank, and a bunch more people.
I'll have more information after Tuesday about where to stay. Most of us are staying at the same hotel, I'm just waiting to get the contract back for the reduced rate.

And from April 18th, we commence the countdown in earnest. In 2001, big Al and I had a chart (which he had designed) and each day had a different message. Some were hysterically funny but it certainly kept the excitement going. Sad he is not going to be with us this time.

Debs,
Alan - who used to post here as 'The Painter'
and Paul, who attended the last Massey Convention but doesnt post. Both Brits.
Both great characters. Both dear friends.

I'm excited for all of you that get to go! I'm way over here in Mid Missouri and no chance of getting to ANY of the dates but I can't wait to hear about them. That's why you must tell us all about the concerts. I can get first hand reports on how wonderful it will be. And secretly, I'm so envious of you lucky souls that will be attending. I'll definately be with you in spirit.

I'm one of the "bunch more" who will be there with Jenney, et al - for all four concerts.
And yes, I'm excited! It will be so good to visit with everyone I met in 2001 and meet the new folks - plus seeing Lightfoot. Doesn't get any better than this

I agree - it's very sad I tried to convince him to go, but had no luck - Damn real life for getting in the way. Still, he'll be with us in spirit and it will be good to see Paul again.
I still giggle when I think about Paul's surprise opportunity to go backstage in 2001. He was just too cute when he finally made it to the party and was telling us about it!
I have many fond memories of Massey 2001 and I'm sure there will be more to add after this year's trip.

Last time we all went to Massey, I made it a point to catch up with Alan right as we turned the corner to go down Shuter Street. I wanted to see his face when he saw the neon Massey Hall sign. He didn't dissappoint me! I got to hold his hand for a minute to share his excitement. Both he and Paul were so happy to be there. They even forgave me for repeatly calling them by the wrong names!
I'm glad Paul got hold of tickets. I noticed today that there are two seperate auctions on ebay for tickets, no big surprise there.

Walking into the Delta in May 2001 the Brit bunch were there and it was overwhelming to start the whole event with big hugs for Bru and alan and Paul was there too but because I didn't know him too well I shook his hand! LOL!!
He'll get Alan's hugs and his this May! I'm SO happy he's coming and bringing his wife and son. It will be quite different without Alan and i do hope something miraculous happens to allow him to come. Taking the Brits to the baseball game was a hoot - and watching them observe the Skydome roof moving was amazing.
It was one of the greatest times of my life and there's been several more since then that all have involved this wonderful family of Lightfoot fans. We are so so lucky!

Char posts the greatest reviews, you will love them. She is in the wrong business, I think she should be a music critic.

Toronto has tons of great restaurants. There's all price ranges and about 100 different ethnicities to choose from. There's fast food and fine dining and everything in between including hot dog vendors on the street..... http://www.mytravelguide.com/restaur...staurants.html
