Gord playing additional new 12 string???

Jenney et al who were at Burlington,

My good friend, Cindy Hill of the great Celtic group OhAnleigh, saw the Burlington, VT concert. She said Gord apparently has a second 12 string he is using. She said she couldn't be sure but the logo on the peghead looked like a Japanese Alvarez, which would surprise me. Any info from Jenney & others who attended about this? She also said the top isn't cherry sunburst, just blonde. Cindy is a great fiddle player and is coming to Toronto with her husband Chris.

Am bringing my 1987 Guild GF-60R "Clapton" model 6 string guitar and my A Model Weber mandolin. My super-picker friend from Nashville, Larry Lowe, will be bringing his 1987 Guild D-60R. HE is a PLAYER and knows all the Red & Terry licks. Look forward to seeing and jamming with all you guys and gals!!!!

Hello to you Jerre, Great to hear all that, about your instruments. As far as I know, both of Lightfoot's 12 string are Gibson B-45. But I might be wrong. Welcome to Corfid...Jesse.

Jerre, I can tell you that Gord was playing a guitar! At one point I noticed he was playing a 12 string. Beyond that, I'm at a loss. He did say that he had two 12 strings, tuned differently, I could almost say he said they were identical. Maybe John or Susan remember?

Because I was intending to answer a corfid question (from Jesse-Joe) on Terry's guitars
I distinctly remember looking at the name area of all guitars being strummed and I may be wrong but I am fairly confident that at all three
concerts both of Gord's 12 strings were Gibsons.And being as how I was sitting virtually dead centre in the front row of the additional Dress Circle about 12 feet from Gord's guitars at Burlington I am sure I would have spotted if one of the 12's on that ocasion was an Alveraz or
anything other than a Gibson"
I have no comment on the two guitar's wood colouring sorry

At Wolftrap he had usual Gibson 12 and Martin D18. He has said he uses 2 Gibson B45s tuned differently. The B45 is a bear to play, even when set up with low action because its neck is wider than most 12s. The Gibson B45 is his trademark so I doubt he'd tinker with it this late in the game. But if I were him I'd get something built that looked and sounded similar, but was easier to play!

One B-45 is tuned standard, and the other to dropped D. He usually brings the dropped D B45 out in the second set.
Bill, did he play his new Martin 6 string, or the old D-18 at Wolftrap?

I was too far away to see. Every pic I've seen though looks like an old one.
