Wayne is showing Gord at The Town Hall in NYC on October 29th; it's not yet on their website. Bruce Hornsby is listed - maybe he cancelled and Barry grabbed the opening?

I sure hope so. October in NYC is just wonderful and that's a Saturday night. It would be perfect.

The October dates on the Town Hall site are for 2004. They (Town Hall) are actually a customer of mine, but not for the web site.
As I have said before, there is often a long delay between the time the artist announces his dates (and they get forwarded to Pollstar and made available to others), and the time that the venue lists it. Both the venue and the promoter - which is often a different person - make the decision about when to "announce". In many cases, the box office people have no idea about concerts that have been "announced" elsewhere for months.
Last time Lightfoot performed at Town Hall, the concert was listed 3 or 4 months ahead of the concert date. Tickets were sold by the Town Hall box office and Ticketmaster, but not until much closer to the concert. I think it was 9 weeks.

BillW,
Your message above implies (only implied) that you would/might go to the NYC concert (rather than the Wolf Trap concert). That's no problem for me but I just wanted to know.

Elizabeth,
Thanks for asking but nothing could be further from my mind. Wolf Trap and The Keswick are in August, as you know, and the NYC show might be in October. I'm in the NYC area often visiting friends and relatives so that one would work for me.
But I plan on seeing as many GL shows in 2005 as possible and hopefully 2006, etc.
Keep me on the list for Wolf Trap. Thanks.
Bill

Sheryl,
Do you (or anyone else) know if Gord's tour will have dates added later? The closest he will be to me is 500 miles...much too far. He has played at Interlochen Arts Academy (20 miles) in the past...hopefully he may add them in again this year. Interlochen does not release their summer concert lineup until April, I think. Just wondering.
Since I found this site a few days ago, I have been lost in Lightfoot Land. My husband dusted off the old turntable and the LPs have been spinning. Thanks to all of you. I definately need to replace some of those vinyls with CDs!
Have a great weekend all.'

Kathy,
You can sign up for free e-mail updates from pollstar. Just go to their website and sign up for Gordon Lightfoot. Then you'll be notified well in advance.

"Lost in Lighfootland," now THERE's truth! We're *all* lost there and will happily stay until the end of all time! Lots of places to "play" in here. Check out Wayne Francis's site for updated concert info, too. Char/Florian put up the link to it on the Home page here. Welcome!!
