Default Atlanta Tix Maybe Tn

Hi all!!!

I missed the pre-sale opportunity to purchase tickets for the Atlanta show at the Cobb Center and am posting here if anyone has (2) available. I'll also be looking for tix on stubhub or otherwise will take my chances the day of the show. I'd greatly appreciate it if anyone here sees/hears of any opportunity for tix to contact me .

I'll be driving from Connecticut to Georgia and staying with my cousin for part of the week(she's a 20 minute drive from Atlanta). It was just a couple of weeks ago, I mentioned the Lightfoot show to her and asked if she'd like to go and her response was an excited and firm, "YEAH"!

Being that I've been out of work for 2 months and just started a XMas season job (and just got off from working 6 days in a row) I wasn't able to keep up with what's been going on!!

Anyway - how many here will be going??? I'd love to meet up with you guys...let me know!!! . I did meet and briefly spoke to a guy and his wife who are from the Atlanta area when I went to Gord's show in Michigan. Don't know if he's a Corfidian or not..but he told me he's been to about 50 Lightfoot concerts!!

Depending on whether or not I'll be driving down by myself, or along with my uncle...I'm also considering making it to the Chattanooga show on the 13th.

All for now and keep in touch!!!

Pam

Pam, I called the Tivoli Theatre in Chattanooga to find when the tics go on sale and they have no info on this show yet, maybe not confirmed? Not sure what is up with this. Maybe someone else knows something.

Please keep in touch!! I have had very little time to think/plan ahead for Gordfest '08 and am hoping I don't miss out here.

Hey Pam there could be quite a crowd of you in Hotlanta.
I know of three that you should contact
  1. the delightful. helpful and knowledgeable Ed Mullen (CHar's boss and a one time tribute band member see:-
  1. http://mageenet.org/LightfootTributeBand/Ed.shtml
There you can find a very nice picture of the man himself
Ed lives in an Atlantean suberb and has a fine website at http://www.edmullen.net
especially some great fan recordings at:-
    http://www.edmullen.net/austin.php
    email him at ed@edmullen.net
He eschews corfid and has unsubscibed from the Newsgroup
so if you email him tell him I sent you OK
  2. Mary Ann Hill "Mah" to her friends including bru/silverheels
    http://www.corfid.com/vbb/member.php?u=13944
  3. dunkin' douglas (shut up and deal) who I believe last reported that he was living in Tifton GA not a milion miles from Atlanta so who knows maybe he''ll make it to the concert
there are a few others search the old member list at:-
http://www.corfid.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ul...?ubb=directory
(you can enter both Atlanta and Georgia as the search keyword then search by location
(a facility not included with the new bulletin board only as far as I can see)
There is here only a member list that is searchable alphabetically

Pam, I don't think Ed is interested in "drop ins" he doesn't like corfid and he unsubscribed from the newsgroup, that tells me that he isn't interested in visits or emails from "lightheads".
He enjoys his anonimity. If you would like to meet people there, perhaps a posting here that you are going and are looking for like minded people to meet before or after the Gord concert.

Thanks John and Brink. I've never heard of these people and have no intention of contacting them in any case...but thanks for sharing the info.

There's certainly never a shortage of people to talk to at a Gordon Lightfoot concert!! Whether it be folks seated next to us, during a trip to the restroom or stepping outside during intermission! Perhaps I'll get to meet others from corfid one of these times.

We did get our tix last week. My cousin has to work that day and we'll barely have time for dinner before the show. And probably we'll head back out to her house right after the show. It's been many, many years since her and I have had a night out together. So long ago that neither of us can recall just when that was and where we might have gone!!!

Pam

I'll have to see if they'll let me have a few vacation days off. They don't like me taking off during the autumn time of the year due to all the leaves on the ground.
