Last night I watched with pleasure the first of a 6 week series of a new programme on New York Channel 7 (ABC Television)
as it says on the Variety site for
icaught
"ABC is hoping to reinvent the newsmagazine for the YouTube generation with a show produced by ABC News but based on user-generated video.
Hourlong skein (sic- no I don't know who he is either) "i-Caught" will get a six-week run on the network starting Aug. 6 at 10pm on Mondays with an eye toward a midseason return if it performs as well as the network hopes."
If the standard can be kept up it should succeed as a most welcome respite on the plethora of reality shows, "talent" shows and crime series that dominate the listings.indeed the pilot had a pair of fine youtube videos:-

"A battle between a pride of lions, a herd of buffalo, and 2 crocodiles at a watering hole in South Africa's Kruger National Park while on safari".Unbelievably the baby apparently survived!!! Screenshot at about 4 minutes of the video
An almost incredible 8:23 minute long magnum opus of an event on a safari which had a brilliant story behind it and has already been watched over 8 million times Gahoendoe (Tom) eat your heart out!!!
and a remarkable dancer (a video so far only watched 300,000 plus times, but there are several to choose from

Micheal Jackson and Charlie Chaplin eat YOUR hearts out!!
The other topical and popular website Myspace.com was featured in an appeal by a young lady for news of her brother missing for over a year, (the police had given up), and if I heard correctly only 15 minutes after she posted on MySpace a picture of his car (IMHO an ugly Dodge Magnum)

a Canadian operated example. Note the hatchback/station wagn/estate car style rear quarters
Somebody replied that she had found the car and in the (unhidden) boot(trunk) area she could see a body!!
As always if you do not have a high speed connection and would like to watch either video in one uninterrupted stream or save it for future use please read my tutorial at:-

I am now downloading both youtube videos

This has been a Public Service Nature, Entertainment and Lauran Order posting from

Thinks I never once in my recent visit down under heard a mention of the great Oz god Aorta (as in Aorta make a law about it)
