Elizabeth,

Keep your earbones open for a new song from John: Jasmine.

It's as fine as anything he's ever written.

Rez,
How do you know JS so well? Are you buddies or something? I got tickets in the 4th row orchestra but a glitch has developed. As long as I can get train reservationsm from D.C. (Amtrak's Acela trains are all down)I'll go by myself! Wish me luck - I couldn't bear to miss it. You never did tell me what JS said when he heard about the thread here.

Elizabeth,

Just by hangin' around for 40 yrs and makin' a pest of myself till they said, "Oh, what the hell." Somewhat more involved than that, but the 40 yrs didn't hurt.

John and I had friends in common thru music and would end up in the same studio on occasion. My cousin, Don Preston, let me tag along a lot of places (from Mad Dogs to Bangladesh.)

Same-same Gord, except I was introduced to him 20+ yrs ago by a very good friend of his (both Canadian, ya know.) That first meeting I must have sounded like Daffy Duck. 20+ yrs has made it a bit easier now.

I'll always be thankful to Donald, and to Alan, Todd, & Joan.

John was very pleased and touched regarding the thread here about him. Very humble, too. He and Gord know one another along the way.

Thant's about it. Please write me and I'll free to be more specific - coward that I am.

Rez,
Everything has worked out beautifully. I have train reservations, a free place to stay in NYC (my son's apartment)and a second row ticket! I will be able to hear 'Jasmine' perfectly. Still hope you will reply to my previous message.
