I was just reading a post about Gord's past alcoholism and the questioning of the quality of albums in past years. I have enjoyed his past recordings and yes I admit sometimes I needed the lyric sheet to understand what he was saying.Unlike other artists who are now dead Gord had the foresight to do something about his problem and I guess a criminal conviction for drunk driving was the prod he needed.

Actually, there was a lot more involved in his turnaround than just the drunk-driving conviction.
