I do not know how long this very interesting page has been on Wayne's site but it is well worth a read at:-
http://www.lightfoot.ca/glfacts.htm
the following caught my eye:-
"Lightfoot's 'Go My Way' dates back to 1966. It was first performed on television by Canadian singer Catherine MacKinnon in January 1967, but Lightfoot chose not to record it until 1971."
I can well remember first hearing that song at a concert at McGill University in Montreal in 1969 it stayed in my head and itdefinitely made an instant deep impression as I remember thinking about it after my return to England in late 1969 so I was delighted to find it on Summer Side Of Life when it was released in 1971.
Also new (I think) on Wayne's site under his "News" section is a link to a new web site he has obviously proudly written to herald the release of his 11-year old daughter Courtney's first CD "Feline Ways".The new site features audio clips of every track that I must revisit to sample.
You'll find no Lightfot ditties there as all songs were written by Wayne himself.I knew he had his own recording studio up there in PEI Canada. which you can see in this pic of Courtney

.
also probably new under "News" are links to a pair of pages detailing his two previously released GL Tribute albums featuring many recordings by Lightheads from around the world (including Australia) again with audio sample clips
