I would love to hear Gord perform a song that he has not yet placed on a record or CD. Although I have no right to be so, I'm somewhat envious of those who are able to say they heard The Wreck before it was released, or more recently, Drifters.

A friend tells me that Gord's cover of Farewell to Nova Scotia would be a fantastic song to hear Gord perform in concert. And I recall that the liner notes to Songbook had a picture of an old set list that included a few unfamiliar songs.

Can anyone identify for me some songs that they have heard Gord perform in concert, but which he has never released? I'm sure that such songs are legion (he has more than 400 titles to his authorship credit), but has anyone here heard any of them?

You don't really expect me to remember stuff from the 70's do you?

Off the top of my head, I actually can remember a few! Of course there is the new one that I got to hear in Minnesota. I believe it is called Nightime.

From the 70's I actually remember Partners, Looking for the Gold, and a few that the titles either escape me or I never knew.

I have a headache now, that was too hard!

His enjoyment of the song is very evident as well. The crowd goes wild with the first few notes and the feelings the words evoke shine in their faces. The only thing better than that would be to see him perform it live in Nova Scotia.

I've seen him perform it live in London and in Canada and it was just 'beautiful'on
each occasion. It remains one of my
favourites and is included in my 'wish list'.
(well one of my wish lists - lol)
