It seems Randy Bachman and Fred Turner have some unfinished business.
The duo -- one-half of Winnipeg rock group Bachman-Turner Overdrive -- are set to announce a new album and world tour under the name Bachman & Turner. The reunion was sparked when they worked together on a song for a Bachman solo album.
Paquin Entertainment said Bachman and Turner would formally make the announcement next week at a news conference in Winnipeg.
Bachman-Turner Overdrive sold millions of albums in the 1970s on the strength of hits such as "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" and "Takin' Care of Business."
Turner and Bachman are currently embroiled in a court battle over the rights to the name Bachman-Turner Overdrive.
Bachman's brother, Robin, and fellow bandmate Blair Thornton launched a lawsuit last month in B.C. Supreme Court claiming Randy Bachman and Turner signed away their rights to the names Bachman-Turner Overdrive, BTO and any similar names. Thornton and Robin Bachman claim Randy Bachman's company trademarked the name Bachman-Turner and Bachman-Turner Union in Canada and the United States earlier this year.
