Bend in the Water 12 I'd Do It Again 8

Hey everyone. "Bend in the Water" is the winner of Showdown #19. It is a real toe tapper. I think "Cold on the Shoulder" is one of the last albums I added to my collection. I remember really enjoying the songs on the album. And because BIW is the first song, it gets the album off to a great start.

Have you ever longed for a loved one you've left behind? If you listen to Gord's lyrics, you know that he has a whole trail of broken hearts left behind him. Sometimes he expresses his desire to return to a special loved one he's left behind. For example in Alberta Bound, that's the "reason" he's "Alberta Bound." Perhaps on his trip from Toronto to Alberta, he was taking the steel rail. Here are two songs about a yearning to return to a love left behind. Which one do you like better?

Alberta Bound

or

Steel Rail Blues

Let the battle begin.
