I think the clapping on the LP is edited for spacial content. Meaning that maybe the audience is clapping & cheering so much it would be too long to sit through. The show was recorded in Canada,so you can imagine how much they were doing so. I think they did the same thing on Cheap Trick's Budokan LP. There's no more fake applause though than on Elton John's,"Bennie & The Jets." For years,I thought that was such a cool live track,only to find out it was all put together in the studio.
