ROFL, John...my secret's out! It is indeed Minnesota, land of 10,000 lakes, including the big one we all know through Gord's song. (Incidentally, I grew up in the port town from which the Edmund Fitzgerald sailed that fateful day.) Have since moved to the northwoods I love so well. In reference to *your* reference to the Israeli Prime Minister...have a friend who calls me "Ariel" when he's in one of his especially nonsensical moods.

I thoroughly enjoyed the chat and the further recommendations regarding my Lighfoot library. I have more GL music on the way. Thanks to you, Susan, Laurel and Deb for helping making my quiet evening in a good one!

[/QUOTE]Do you pronounce your name like the Prime Minister does (Shah-RONE) or does yours sound like the more tradtional woman's moniker:
(SHA-rin)? Interestingly, that isnt even his original sirname; he was born Ariel Scheinerman, but like many Israelis, especially army officers, he changed it to a more Hebrew sounding last name. He chose Sharon for the plains and valley of Sharon, north of Tel-Aviv, where he was born and raised. Also, though your friend may call you Ariel, hardly anyone actually calls him that. Everyone, friends and rivals alike, refers to him as "Arik", which in Israel is the affectionate form of his formal name. BTW, before the little mermaid came along, Ariel was actually quite the manly name, meaning , "Lion of G-d."
