Yep, it was a great time. The seats WERE uncomfortable as all get out, but it was a nice vantage point. For the first time in a long time, I was actually able to see Mike's handiwork on the keyboard. Very interesting. Although I did discover that it is definitely time to visit my optometrist. Things were a little blurry at that distance. lol
The crowd was great. A few call outs. Some entertaining, some not so much. But Gord did say that we had been a great audience and he appreciated it. I thought he was in very good spirits. And typically stronger in the second set than the first. But still a great show.
In both shows, when he ended Ribbon of Darkness with a partial line...and then pause to start Sundown, a few in the crowd would fill the pause with the rest of the line "oooverrrr me". He seemed to be amused by that. In Peeskill he also did the story of amending the line "the feelings that you lack" to the "feelings that we lack" in IYCRMM at his daughter's request and the one about "Mr. Presley" changing the would "can" to "might" EMR to make it "aesthetically" correct (saying it twice as is his way when he is emphasizing a point or maybe because he just likes the sound of it) and that he was not upset about it (adding his little impish grin).
And as always, perfection from the band and crew.
It was a nice surprise to see some Lightheads that I had not seen in a while. The joy is always doubled when shared.
