Yes, but it's a subtle knack. Oh, the words and message can be quite poignant, as Black Day In July clearly shows. But Gord isn't in your face and up on the soapbox as, for example, Bruce Cockburn is. And that's nothing against Bruce. He's a great talent and I have a few of his albums. But Gord chooses his spots well. It kind of reminds me of the person who doesn't often raise their voice or cause a stir. On the rare occasions they do, it has such impact, you pay attention.
